In 2018, Egypt, China and the CBD Secretariat jointly launched the Action Agenda. From then on, China has actively fulfilled its obligations as the host country of COP15 and the initiator of the Action Agenda, strengthened communication and worked closely with Egypt and the CBD Secretariat to promote the implementation of the Action Agenda. With concerted efforts of the three objectives, positive progress has been made in expanding international influence, establishing working mechanisms, advancing strategic interconnections and building partnerships. In addition, China has been actively pushing forward related work domestically, including organizing and convening workshops of domestic stakeholders to build a consensus, enhance communication and exchanges, and encourage wider engagement; setting up a publicity page for the Action Agenda on relevant website to expand influence and increase domestic stakeholders’ engagement and contributions. Entrusting on the Civil Society Alliance for Biodiversity Conservation (CSABC), Representatives of businesses, civil society, youth, women and other stakeholders have been organizing to participate in the Action Agenda systematically, more stakeholders have been encouraging to take actions and make commitments through public activities, forum , and others. As the incoming presidency of COP15, China will continue to support the Action Agenda, fully mobilize all resources to promote the active participation of all stakeholders, and make their due contributions to the implementation of the Action Agenda.
